BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Cayon Pacers netball team, now undertaking the new name ‘Turbo Plus Cayon Pacers’, held its Miss Netball Pageant on Saturday, December 12.  The show, held at the Cayon Primary School grounds, saw 16-year-old Miss Shadia Dore separating herself from four other contestants and being crowned queen.

Dore scored a whopping 578 points and also took the awards for Best Talent and Best Evening Wear. In the First Runner-up position was 17-year-old Raisa Wattley with 511½ points and she was also declared winner of the Best Introductory Speech while the Second Runner-up position was awarded to 16-year-old Aravinda Huges with 491 points.

Although the Pageant originally had six contestants, only five competed because Kristal Archibald dropped out due to circumstances unknown to this media house. However, the other contestants were 14-year-old Shekola Wilson and Chalicia Dore.

The Pageant, which also saw a dance performance and an unforgettable act by Infamus, was a fundraiser for the netball team to buy new uniforms and sneakers.

Green Valley’s very own Cutto was the show MC for the night.
