BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - Senior representatives of the Ocean’s Edge, Silver Reef and Christophe Harbour tourism development projects will deliver the feature presentation at the Chamber’s Annual Pre-Christmas Luncheon Meeting scheduled for 12 noon on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Ocean Terrace Inn.   This presentation, which is structured as a tourism developers’ panel, will be led by Robert Scott (Ocean’s Edge), Sebastian Mottram (Silver Reef), and Ellis Hazel (Christophe Harbour).

Members of the tourism developers’ panel are expected to address the Chamber’s membership on the following matters:
?     Update on Christophe Harbour, Silver Reef & Ocean’s Edge projects under construction;
?     Value of the tourism investment in the Country, to date;
?     Projected completion dates for these tourism projects; and
?     Economic spin-offs to be derived from these projects, such as new jobs, business-to-business linkages and new business to local service providers.

The tourism panellists will also be sharing (a) their vision for tourism development in the Federation; (b) their imperatives for continued confidence in the local investment climate; and (c) their strategies for surviving the impact and uncertainties of the ongoing global financial crisis.
