BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- THE police have recently announced that a male has been charged with rape in connection with an incident on May 22.
Due to the sensitive nature and severity of the incident, details have not been released by the police. The individual was formally charged on June 27.
According to the laws of St. Kitts and Nevis, specifically outlined in the Offences Against the Person Act, CAP 4.21 Part XVI, Section 73, the police are restricted from publishing the identity of individuals charged with offences listed in Section 72 (2).
