‘Class of ‘87’ Link Up’ elects new executive to benefit Sandy Point Community

Eight of the Ten Executive Members of the Class of ’87’ Link Up Group

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- The Sandy Point Primary School (SPPS) Class of '87 'Classmate Link Up' is committed to enhancing its community through a series of initiatives following the recent election of a new executive board to guide its affairs for the next two years.

     

    The group, established a year ago, conducted its elections on June 26, resulting in the selection of 10 executive board members. Mr. Henry R. Marsham was elected President, Ms. Cassolis Richardson as Vice President, Mrs. Gracia Richardson-Matthew as Secretary, and Ms. Laverne Brooks as Assistant Secretary.

     

    Ms. Vanessa Woodley will serve as Treasurer, with Ms. Jeanette Wyatt as Assistant Treasurer. Mr. Livingston Geanerlette takes on the role of Public Relations Officer, supported by Mr. Travis Douglas as Assistant Public Relations Officer. Overseas Ambassadors include Ms. Tracey Warner and Mrs. Vanessa Hodge-Sauveur.

     

    Taking their oath of office as SPPS alumni, the executive members pledge to contribute to the institution and community that shaped them.

     

    The group plans various activities throughout the year to raise funds for the community and provide support to those in need.

     

    The swearing-in ceremony was officiated by Mr. Daryll Loyld, a past SPPS student and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Posts.

     

    Former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sandy Point native, Mr. William Vincent Hodge, chaired the ceremony and was sworn in as an Advisor to the group.

     

    The evening included a presentation on "Leadership Development and Team Building" by Jaycees JCI Senator from Antigua, Mrs. Evangeline Allen. Her insights inspired the Executive and members to foster teamwork and collaboration. 

     

    The President and his Executive would like to express heart-felt thanks to everyone who made this event possible. We are grateful for your support.
