BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- RECENT allegations involving an officer of the Police Force have prompted the law enforcement agency to take to social media to refute the claims circulating in the Federation.
Over the last several days, allegations have been published on social media claiming that an officer was involved in a kidnapping.
However, in a media statement published on its official Facebook page, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) stated it “unequivocally refutes the false allegations circulating on social media implicating one of our officers in the alleged kidnapping of a juvenile. We can confirm that these malicious sentiments are entirely baseless and untrue.”
The police force emphasized that it takes “allegations of misconduct very seriously and prioritises the safety and well-being of the public.”
In light of these events, the police force urged the public to “exercise caution and verify information before sharing it, as spreading false information can have serious implications and hinder ongoing investigations”
