22 July, 2024 -- The Sandy Point Benevolent Society, Inc. (SPBS) presents its Awards Banquet under the theme "Our Youth, Gifted for Greatness" on Saturday, August 31st, 2024. The event will be held at the renowned Villa Barone Manor, 737 Throgs Neck Expy., Bronx, NY 10465.
Her Excellency, Dame Marcella Liburd, GCMG., JP., Governor General of St. Kitts and Nevis, will extend her patronage on the Gala. Mr. Crios Freeman, LLM., Principal of Freeman Law Services, will headline the event as its featured speaker. Crios is a former SPBS scholarship winner and is eager to give back - a theme consistent with our SPBS motto of “We Give Back So Others Can Move Forward”.
According to Dr. Stewart Williams, President and Founder of SPBS, “We have enjoyed a strong year, including a first, where we supplied seed funding, enabling the very first high school to compete in the prestigious Penn Relays. Today, you would see our hand as a key sponsor of the Crime Intervention Soccer Camp. And now, our energies are focused on recognizing and celebrating and sharing the stage with our talented honorees”.
Our distinguished 2024 honorees will be Mrs. Kimarah Isaac, Mrs. Gloria Esdaille-Robinson, Ms. Michelle Amanda French-Nanton, Ms. Jazarah Claxton and Mr. Jason Rogers.
The SPBS also acknowledges the support of donors and corporate sponsors of the magazine which will be in circulation at the Awards Banquet.
