Details released from Tabernacle shooting

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- ON Friday afternoon, police revealed that Dean Boddie is currently recovering from multiple gunshot injuries sustained in a shooting incident on the evening of August 1 in Tabernacle.

     

    At approximately 10:25 p.m., the police responded to a report of a shooting in Tabernacle Village. Upon arrival, they found Boddie with injuries near the primary school in the area.

     

    According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that Boddie was walking through the playing field in Tabernacle Village shortly after 10:00 p.m. when he was approached by an assailant who fired several shots at him.

     

    Despite sustaining multiple gunshot injuries, Boddie managed to evade his attacker and collapsed near the Tabernacle Primary School. He was transported to the JNF Hospital, where he underwent emergency treatment. Police said Boddie remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
