BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — THE police have taken two individuals into custody on suspicion of involvement in a robbery.
The arrests followed the execution of a search warrant as part of the ongoing investigation into a recent homicide in the Tabernacle area.
In a statement to the media, police reported that early yesterday morning (Aug.15), officers from Division B Police Stations, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and tactical units carried out a series of search warrants at residences between Phillips and St. Paul’s Village.
The police stated that these searches were part of ongoing criminal investigations within the Division, which include the recent murder in Tabernacle.
“During the operations, items of interest were seized, and two individuals were arrested on suspicion of robbery,” the statement said.
This comes as the police step up their efforts to combat the growing problem of crime and violence across the islands.
