BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — Police have disclosed details of a shooting incident on Wednesday that resulted in the death of 31-year-old Lawvinton Forbes of Hamilton, leaving another family in mourning.
According to authorities, gunshots rang out between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., leading to Forbes’ tragic demise. Initial investigations suggest that Forbes was accosted and shot multiple times by unknown assailants while sitting in his car outside his home in Hamilton.
Forbes was transported to the Alexandria Hospital by private vehicle but sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.
His death marks the 26th homicide of the year, prompting the government to hold several consultations aimed at addressing the growing crime problem affecting the federation.
