By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — DEANGELLE Berridge, of Saddlers Village, St. Kitts, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for "Manslaughter Due to Provocation."

Berridge's sentencing follows the death of Alisha Dunrod, from Sprott Street, St. Kitts, who was fatally stabbed on Central Street on October 3, 2022.

Originally charged with murder, Berridge pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of manslaughter on March 22, 2024. Her sentence includes credit for time already served on remand, and she will be eligible for early release, potentially receiving a one-third remission for good behavior.

Justice Iain Morley KC handed down the sentence on November 7, 2024, at the High Court in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
