BASSETERRE, St. Kitts—THE police are investigating a tragic accident that occurred on November 13, claiming the life of Joyecly Straun, a resident of Keys Village.
According to initial reports, Straun was crossing the road when she was struck by a vehicle traveling from the direction of Basseterre. She was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have identified the driver involved in the incident, but no arrest has been made. The case is not being treated as a hit-and-run.
Further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are ongoing.
