BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- On Sunday, December 20th, the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium bursts to life with a myriad of dances and colours as, once again, the extremely talented and eager performers of the Children Dance Theatre thrill their expectant fans with "THE CHRISTMAS CHOICE AWARDS".
Indeed, the audience will be enthralled with the professionally choreographed pieces which will bring to life the many time-honoured favourites of Christmas for which there were several nominees placed in categories such as Favourite Christmas Song, Most Memorable Christmas Tale, Tastiest Christmas Candy.
At this dance recital which is being staged for one day only, CDT’s fans will witness the top awardees in dance, song and drama.
According to the hardworking tutors, Heidi Slack, Sonji Isaac, Shanikwa Laws, Shanda Labega, Kerry Ann Pinard and Genieve Hanley, all of whom boast a vast wealth of experience in dance, Sunday's production will be of the usual high standard which the loyal fans have come to expect over the twenty years of the Theatre's existence. CDT’s Director, Julie Martin is especially proud of the dancers and has assured the public of a spectacular treat reminiscent of our favourite awards shows.
She added that presenters have flown in for "THE CHRISTMAS CHOICE AWARDS", which will also feature the Fireflies Dance School and the CFBC Dance Ensemble.
Miss Martin heaped praises on the corporate partners who continue to demonstrate their unswerving support for, and commitment to, the Children Dance Theatre in its bid to foster a love of dance among the youth.
