CARICOM Secretariat launches online portal for the 48th Heads of Government Meeting

    (CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana - Thursday, 13 February 2025) - The CARICOM Secretariat has launched an online platform to share updates and information about the upcoming 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government, set for 19-21 February in Bridgetown, Barbados.

     

    The platform, accessible via https://caricom.org/48hgc, includes insights from the CARICOM Chair, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley of Barbados, who will preside over the meeting; views from CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr Carla Barnett; key agenda items; the Special Guests with whom the Heads of Government will engage, and the  programme of events.

     

    Features, media releases and links to images and video footage will be posted during the Meeting. The Meeting Communique will also be uploaded to this platform.

     

    This digital resource is designed for the media, government officials, citizens of the Region, researchers, students, and individuals interested in delving into issues on the meeting’s agenda.

     

    A key component of the platform is a section with updates on the agenda items, supplemented by videos from subject specialists that provide insight into the discussions that Heads of Government are expected to have on regional and hemispheric issues.

     

    Details on live stream information, and links to platforms streaming live events, will also be available.

     

    Similar content will also be shared on CARICOM’s social media platforms. The hashtag #48HGC will be used for all meeting-related content that is posted.
