BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JUST a day after taking office, newly appointed Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Stuart Young has announced that general elections will be held on April 28, 2025.
In a statement, Young advised President Christine Kangaloo to dissolve Parliament at midnight on March 18, 2025, in accordance with Section 68 of the Constitution.
He also confirmed that the Writs of Election for the 2025 General Elections will be issued on March 18, with Nomination Day set for April 4 and Polling Day scheduled for April 28.
