Six get ready for Miss UDC Talented Teen

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - SIX teenage beauties from High Schools around the Federation will be competing this Saturday (Dec. 26) for the Miss UDC Talented Teen Pageant title which will be held from 8:00 p.m. at Carnival Village. 

     

    The event will also feature a Junior Calypso Show in which 12 calypsonians will be singing their way to the coveted crown.

     

    The contestants are Miss St. Theresa’s High Zinga Imo, Britney Liddie of Washington Archiblad High, Miss Basseterre High Cinnamon Matthew,  Onica Hewit of Cayon High School, Miss Verchilds High Lynnika Small and Tamara Dorset Of Sandy Point High School.  

     

    Earlier in the year, Tamara Dorset was crowned Miss Labour while Britney Liddie competed in the same pageant and won the First Runner-up position. Cinnamon Mattew, who is also no stranger to pageantry, was recently crowned Miss Basseterre High. 

     

    The six will first make a fanfare appearance after which they will be judged in three appearances: Personality Speech, Talent and Evening Wear. 

     

    Chairwoman of the Miss UDC Committee, Paulette Caines, said the public could look forward to some exciting talent performances. She said preparations have been going fine so far, the girls are all excited and just about ready for the big night.

     

    Caines also added that the side show acts would include the winners of the recently held Clash of the High Schools competition as well as the Destiny Academy dancers.

     

    Children under 15 years will have to pay an entrance fee of $15 and adults $25.
