BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE announced that they have charged 69-year-old Aubrey Clation Webster, also known as ‘Katuba,’ with the murder of Isalin Cassandra Pitt-Garnette, marking the Federation’s first homicide of the year.
Pitt-Garnette, 60, of the New Road Housing Development, was reportedly found with multiple stab wounds. According to police, the incident occurred between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on April 5.
Officers responding to the scene discovered Pitt-Garnette unresponsive in a bedroom.
Her death has sent shockwaves throughout the Federation, particularly within the nursing community, which is mourning her tragic and violent passing.
In a statement released today (Apr. 8), police confirmed that Webster, a resident of both Brooklyn, New York, and St. Kitts, was formally charged with murder on April 7 at the Basseterre Police Station.
