BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — POLICE have confirmed that Thorne Flemming of Old Road has been formally charged with Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.
The charges arise from the execution of a search warrant at Flemming’s residence on April 27, 2025. The operation was conducted by a joint task force comprising officers from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s (RSCNPF) Anti-Narcotics Unit and Special Services Unit, the Joint Security Operations Tactical Team (JSOTT), the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF), and the St. Kitts-Nevis Customs and Excise K-9 Unit.
During the search, officers recovered one Beretta 9mm pistol, 14 rounds of matching ammunition, and discovered a large number of cannabis plants.
According to the police, Flemming attempted to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
Law enforcement authorities noted that this arrest is part of a broader crackdown on illegal firearms and ammunition across St. Kitts and Nevis. In recent months, police have intensified stop-and-search operations and executed multiple search warrants, leading to the seizure of several high-powered weapons and ammunition.
As a result, numerous individuals have been charged and remanded pending their trial dates.
Flemming was officially charged on Tuesday, April 30, at the Cayon Police Station and was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison the following day.
