NY: Grammy-winning R&B legend Toni Braxton is set to deliver a soul-stirring performance at Reggae Sumfest 2025, headlining International Night 2 on Saturday, July 19, at Montego Bay’s Catherine Hall Stadium, festival CEO Josef “Joe” Bogdanovich said. Other performers on Night 2 include Tarrus Riley, Protoje, Fantan Mojah, Lila Ike, Bugle, I-Wayne and Pressure.

Bogdanovich, who was in Florida to attend Vybz Kartel's sold out performance at the Amerant Bank Arena, praised Braxton’s addition to the lineup, calling her set one of the most anticipated of the year.

"The inclusion of international R&B icon Toni Braxton takes this year’s festival to another level. Her presence is a monumental crossover moment that underscores Sumfest’s global pull," he shared.

Known for timeless hits like Un-Break My Heart, Breathe Again, and He Wasn’t Man Enough, Braxton's performance promises a soulful contrast to the typically high-energy reggae and dancehall acts the festival is known for.

International Night 1, brings raw Jamaican firepower with World Boss Vybz Kartel, dancehall superstar Masicka, Govana, Jamal, D'Yani, Laden, Shaneil Muir and Jah Fabio. High-energy performer Skeng is also set to ignite the stage, while Ghanaian Afro-fusion artist Moliy, whose hit Shake It To The Max is dominating local airwaves, adds a fresh global flavor to the week-long festival offering.

Running from July 13–19, 2025, Reggae Sumfest remains a cultural cornerstone.

"Sumfest is more than a festival," Bogdanovich declared. "For over three decades, we've been the heartbeat of Jamaican music, culture, and identity, and we take that role seriously. Every element of Sumfest is a reflection of the real Jamaica - the roots, the reggae, the dancehall, the energy, the resilience. It's not just what happens on stage - it’s the fashion, the language, the food, the vibe. From the jerk chicken stands to the patois shouted from the stage, from the dancers to the pan chicken man, it’s all storytelling, and it tells the world, this is Jamaica, and we are proud."

From the rhythms of reggae and dancehall to the local street culture, Sumfest tells the world Jamaica is bold, creative, and proud.

"Reggae Sumfest plays a key role in how Jamaica is perceived globally," Bogdanovich noted. "Sumfest positions the island as modern yet grounded, creative yet conscious, and as a place where music, art, and innovation flourish...We’re targeting the Caribbean diaspora across the U.S., UK, Canada, and now even parts of Africa. The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has been an incredible partner in pushing Sumfest as a premier cultural product of Brand Jamaica. Their international reach combined with our grassroots street promotions and digital media strategy has given us a serious edge. We're not just promoting a festival - we're promoting an experience, a cultural movement, and the energy of Jamaica. The JTB recognizes that Sumfest is not just entertainment, it's a tourism driver and a flagship cultural export" he concluded.
