Police address latest false rumour

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – The Police Force is urging the public to refrain from spreading false information, following an investigation into a recent missing person report concerning Ivel Jr. Saint Val.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), working in collaboration with the Immigration Department, determined that Mr. Saint Val was not missing but had voluntarily departed the Federation by boat.

In a statement, the Police Force reminded the public that filing false reports is a serious offence. Such actions divert vital resources from real emergencies and investigations, undermine public trust, and place an unnecessary burden on law enforcement agencies.

"We strongly urge all individuals to act responsibly and truthfully when engaging with law enforcement authorities," the statement read. "Persons found making malicious or false reports will be held accountable in accordance with the law."

The police emphasized that public cooperation is essential to ensuring law and order throughout the Federation.
