BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have confirmed that Andrew Herbert has been taken into custody in connection with a recent robbery at the Panda Chinese Supermarket on Upper Market Street.
Herbert, a 27-year-old resident of Lower Fiennes Avenue, was the subject of a wanted bulletin issued earlier this week for the offence of robbery.
When contacted by SKNVibes News, police confirmed that the arrest is related to the June 4th robbery at the Panda Chinese Supermarket. That incident took place around 2:30 p.m., when a man wearing a baby blue T-shirt, dark jeans, and a black helmet entered the store.
According to police reports, the suspect brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from the cashier. He then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash, carried in a black and white bag.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
