BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE long-awaited 2025 St. Kitts Music Festival kicks off this evening (Jun. 26) at Warner Park Cricket Stadium, and night one promises to be an electrifying mix of soca and dancehall music.
Headlining tonight’s high-energy "Jump-Up Night" are some of the region’s most vibrant performers, including Shenseea with her hit “Hit and Run,” Kes the Band with “Cocoa Tea,” and viral sensation Yung Bredda, known for “The Greatest Bend Over.”
Now in its 27th edition, the St. Kitts Music Festival continues to gain significant regional recognition for its creative blend of local, regional, and international talent.
Tonight’s lineup also includes a strong local presence, with performances by the reigning Road March champions, Kollision Band, and the ever-popular Honey Bees String Band, who are expected to open the show.
Other artistes scheduled to hit the stage include Signal Band, Trilla-G, Patrice Roberts, Akaiiusweet, and Tobap.
Organizers have also made accommodations for smokers, with a designated lounge area to ensure the comfort of non-smokers and those with respiratory conditions.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Travis Rogers noted that cannabis smokers will be allowed up to five pre-rolled joints per person. Attendees must bring them already packaged, as any amount exceeding the limit will be confiscated at the gate.
Additionally, several traffic restrictions will be in effect, including a no-parking zone along Victoria Road to ensure smooth flow and public safety.
