Police charge Nolan with drug possession

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN its ongoing crackdown on illegal drugs, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has charged Bruce Nolan of Lower Shaw Avenue, McKnight with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply.

The charges stem from a targeted operation conducted at Nolan’s residence, where officers discovered approximately 10 grams of cocaine. The operation was carried out by members of the Anti-Narcotics Unit during the early morning hours of June 26.

According to police, the search warrant was executed around 5:00 a.m. During the sweep, officers uncovered a quantity of white, powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. Nolan was taken into custody on suspicion of drug possession.

Subsequent testing confirmed the substance to be cocaine. He was later formally charged at the Basseterre Police Station around 11:25 a.m. that same day.

This arrest forms part of a broader effort by law enforcement to clamp down on illegal drugs and firearms across the Federation. In recent months, the Police Force has ramped up its operations, including routine stop-and-search exercises and the execution of search warrants, all aimed at curbing crime and removing illegal items from the streets.

Several other individuals have also been detained in connection with drug-related offenses as part of this ongoing initiative.
