Trinidad & Tobago U19 clinch final-over thriller against USA U19-2 at the St. Paul’s Sports Complex

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- The USA U19-2 batted first and posted a challenging 257/7 from their 50 overs. Their innings was powered by Amogh Arepally’s 64 (77 balls) and a solid half-century from Aryan Tummala (51 off 76). Trinidad & Tobago bowlers shared the wickets, with Aaron Basant’s 9-0-21-1 being the most economical.

In reply, Trinidad & Tobago were in early trouble at 12/2 but rallied thanks to a composed 68 from Brendan Boodoo and an unbeaten 60 from Cristian Rampersad. A rapid 26 from Aadian Racha helped seal victory in the final over as they finished on 261/9 in 49.1 overs. Trinidad & Tobago U19 won by 1 wicket.

USA U19-1 shock Jamaica in spirited 13-run win at the St. Mary’s Park in Cayon

USA U19-1 posted 209 all out in 47.4 overs on the back of a sublime 85 from Saharsh Shwethan, who dominated the middle overs with 12 boundaries. He was well-supported by Adnit Jhamb (35) and Sahil Garg (36). Vitel Lawes (3/23) and Tamarie Redwood (4/41) were the pick of Jamaica's bowlers.

Jamaica began brightly in the chase with Kevaundre Virgo (51) and Tyriek Bryan (58) adding 117 for the first wicket. However, a middle-order collapse triggered by Utkarsh Srivastava’s 4/31 derailed the innings. They were eventually bowled out for 196 in 42.5 overs. Result: USA U19-1 won by 13 runs

Barbados hammer Guyana by 140 runs in dominant showing at  Elquemedo Willett Park, Nevis

Barbados put up the biggest score of the day, amassing 287/6 in 50 overs. Their innings was built around fine contributions from Joshua Dorne (63), Zachary Carter (62) and Gadson Bowens (46).

Guyana’s chase never gained momentum as they were skittled out for 147 in 31.3 overs, despite Shamar Apple’s brisk 38. Barbados’ bowling was led by Rjai Gittens, who took a sensational 4/26, supported by Xaundre Baptiste (2/22) and captain Dorne with 2/27. Barbados U19 won by 140 runs.

Windward Islands squeeze past Leewards in low-scoring affair at the Conaree Cricket Centre.

Windwards were bowled out for just 124 in 29.5 overs, with Reon Edwards leading the way with 36. But in a spirited bowling display, they hit back to dismiss Leeward Islands for 119 in 35 overs, defending their total by just 5 runs.

Leeward Islands’ Michah McKenzie was the standout performer in the match with a brilliant 5-wicket haul (5/36), but his effort went in vain. Windward Islands U19 won by 5 runs.
