Woman escapes injury in Taylors Village shooting incident

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have released details of a shooting incident that took place in Taylors Village, where a resident narrowly escaped harm.

     

    According to a statement from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, the incident occurred sometime between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug 6.).

     

    Preliminary investigations reveal that an unidentified assailant fired multiple rounds at the home of Shermin Walters. Walters was reportedly awakened by the sound of gunfire and fortunately was not injured.

     

    Responding officers discovered several bullet holes in one of the home's windows, along with damage to furniture inside the affected room.

     

    Police confirmed that no injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made at this time. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

     

    This incident adds to a growing number of gun-related crimes that continue to impact communities across the Federation.
