Bronx, NY August 9, 2025 – The Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS) is delighted to announce its 13th Annual Awards Gala, taking place Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Maestro’s Banquet Hall, 1703 Bronxdale Avenue, Bronx, NY, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
This year’s celebration will be held under the Distinguished Patronage of Pastor Judith Esdaille and Elder Moulton Esdaille of Mount Carmel Pentecostal Church in the Bronx, and will feature Her Excellency Dr. Mutryce Williams, St. Kitts and Nevis’ Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, as the Keynote Speaker.
Guided by the inspiring theme “Imagine the Possibilities When We Give Back So Others Could Move Forward,” the gala will unite patriotic nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis with members of the wider Caribbean diaspora in an evening dedicated to honoring service, celebrating excellence, and showcasing cultural pride.
Mr. Troy Southwell of MCPC will serve as Master of Ceremonies, leading the program with charm and professionalism as the Society honors five distinguished individuals:
· Mr. Troy “Bif” Mills – Distinguished Alumnus & Sports Enthusiast
· Dr. Almesha Richardson-Campbell – Distinguished Alumna & Education Researcher
· Mr. Leroy Powell – Distinguished Businessman & Philanthropist
· Mrs. Gracemae Richardson-Carty – Distinguished Community Activist & Philanthropist
· Ms. Abena Amory – Distinguished Entertainer & Cultural Advocate
The evening’s entertainment will include performances by Breakaway Brass Band, songstress Ms. Nikkie Farrier, King Hollywood from Nevis, dancers Kellie and Aleah, and a special performance by one of the honorees.
