BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IT was a night of celebration for St. Paul’s FC and their loyal fans as the team secured the National Bank Premier League title with a 2-0 victory over RAMS Village Superstars at the Technical Center in St. Peters.
In a game that swung back and forth, St. Paul’s eventually proved too strong to contain. Goals from Keithroy Freeman and Kalonji Clarke sealed the win, delivering St. Paul’s their fifth Premier League crown in six seasons, and their eighth overall—further cementing their dominance in local football.
“A huge congratulations to the entire St. Paul's United team on a hard fought and well deserved win. They showed incredible grit, determination, and a championship mindset throughout the season” the SKNFA said in a statement on social media.
The federation also praised the efforts of Village Superstars, who battled to the very end.
This marks St. Paul’s second consecutive championship, wrapping up the best-of-three finals with a 2-0 series sweep. The triumph comes shortly after the club sparked controversy by publicly singling out a referee in a press release. The referee has since received backing from the local referees’ association.
