GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- THE Trinbago Knight Riders have claimed a fifth Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title after edging out the Guyana Amazon Warriors by three wickets at the Guyana National Stadium this morning.
After winning the toss, the host Warriors could only muster 130 all out of their 20 Overs.
Iftikhar Ahmed topped scored for the Warriors with 30 from 27 balls, while Saurabh Netravalkar was the pick of the Knight Riders bowlers, bagging three for 25 from his four overs.
In reply, the visitors struggled across the line, ending on 133/7 off 18 Overs. Alex Hales (26) was the lead run scorer.
