BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are continuing investigations into a fatal traffic accident that occurred Thursday evening (Sept. 25) at Manor by the Sea in Frigate Bay.
Preliminary reports indicate that sometime between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m., a motor car driven by Michael Prendergast, 50, of Cedar Grove, St. Peter’s, was involved in the crash.
According to police, Prendergast entered the Manor by the Sea Villas compound and, while descending a slope in a southeast direction, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a retaining wall.
He sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
