BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has reported another success in its ongoing efforts to curb illegal firearms, following the arrest and charging of Joel Browne of Christ Church.
In a statement, police confirmed that a joint operation carried out on September 25, 2025, by officers of the Special Services Unit (SSU) and the Joint Security Operations Tactical Team (JSOTT) resulted in a search of Browne’s premises. During the operation, law enforcement officers seized a quantity of controlled drugs, arms, and ammunition.
Among the items recovered were one Beretta firearm, 19 rounds of 9mm ammunition, two 12-gauge cartridges, one spent 9mm shell, and a bulletproof vest.
Browne was formally charged on September 26, 2025, with three counts of possession of ammunition and one count of possession of a firearm.
