Repeat offender sentenced to prison

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWENTY-five-year-old Alexis Liddie has learned that repeated criminal behaviour carries serious consequences, as he has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for a series of offences.

According to police, Liddie will serve his sentence at His Majesty’s Prison for multiple crimes, including two counts of sacrilege at the Antioch Baptist Church and a separate offence of breaking and entering at Indigo Yachts.

Liddie first appeared in court in 2022, where he received a two-year suspended sentence after breaking into the Antioch Baptist Church and stealing items. In 2023, he was again before the court and placed on two years’ probation for breaking into Indigo Yachts and causing extensive property damage.

In a statement, police reported that in June 2024, while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, Liddie broke into the Antioch Baptist Church once again, stealing small items and cash. This reoffence activated his suspended sentence and constituted a breach of his probation.

Police said that on October 21, 2025, at the St. Christopher Circuit Court, His Lordship Justice Iain Morley KC sentenced Liddie to a total of four and a half years in prison. The court also ordered him to complete an eight-week drug and alcohol rehabilitation programme while incarcerated.
