BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — St. Lucia’s Prime Minister, Phillip J. Pierre, has announced that the country will head to the polls next month as the campaign season enters its final stretch.
In a national address on Saturday evening (November 9), Prime Minister Pierre revealed that he has advised the Governor General to dissolve Parliament on Monday, November 10, 2025, and to issue the Writs of Election, officially setting the stage for the upcoming vote.
General Elections will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, with Nomination Day set for Friday, November 21, 2025.
Both the ruling St. Lucia Labour Party (SLP) and the opposition United Workers Party (UWP) are intensifying their campaigns, as Prime Minister Pierre and UWP leader Allen Chastanet face off once again for the country’s top political post.
