CHARLESTOWN, Nevis — POLICE have launched an investigation into a shooting incident in Cotton Ground Village, Nevis, that left a woman nursing a gunshot injury.
The incident occurred on December 14, 2025, between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. According to police, officers responded to reports of gunshots heard in the Colquhoun Housing Project.
Investigations revealed that during the same time frame, two males were driving through the Colquhoun Housing Project when several shots were fired at their vehicle by unknown assailant(s). Both occupants escaped unharmed, but the vehicle sustained significant damage.
Police also confirmed that a female resident of the housing project was struck by gunfire while inside her home. She sustained a gunshot wound to her wrist and was grazed on the left side of her abdomen.
The injured woman was transported to the Alexandra Hospital, where she received medical treatment and remains warded in the Surgical Ward.
