BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — POLICE have confirmed that they are investigating a suspected drowning incident that occurred on the Peninsula.
In a brief statement to the media, police said a 68-year-old female passenger from a cruise vessel encountered difficulties while swimming at Friars Bay and later died.
She was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
