Popular regional artistes announced for 2026 Music Festival

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — ORGANIZERS of the St. Kitts Music Festival have unveiled a robust lineup of more than 20 artistes for the 2026 edition of the event, which is once again expected to drive strong visitor arrivals and economic activity.

     

    The artistes announced include Fantasia, Machel Montano, Mavado, V’ghn, Beres Hammond, Shelly & Signal Band, Luciano, D’yani, Zu, Valiant, Brandon, Rucas H.E, Masicka, Shaneil Muir, Steel Pulse, Kranium, Gharlic & The Upper Level Band, Aidonia, Voice, Rodney Tattat, Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser & The Blak Soil Band, Edwin Yearwood & Krosfyah, and Nu Vybes Band International.

     

    The announcement was made during a ceremony held to recognize sponsors and other key stakeholders. where Minister of Tourism Henderson described the festival as being an integral part of the country’s tourism and economic strategy.

     

    “The St. Kitts Music Festival is far more than entertainment. It is one of our flagship tourism products, driving visitor arrivals, supporting our businesses, and showcasing the creativity, talent, and vibrant spirit of St. Kitts to the world,” she said. “It also plays a key role in our broader tourism strategy, supporting airlift, encouraging longer stays, and positioning St. Kitts as a dynamic year-round destination.”

     

    Chairman of the Festival Committee, Allister Williams, highlighted the significance of the upcoming event, which marks the festival’s 28th anniversary.

     

    “Reaching 28 years is no small achievement," Williams said. 

     

    He noted that the festival, originally launched in 1996 as the Shak Shak Music Festival, was created to celebrate culture through music while generating opportunities and revenue for local communities. However, it has since evolved into one of the premier festivals in the region.

     

    Williams added that the festival’s longevity underscores the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility.

     

    The 2026 St. Kitts Music Festival is scheduled to run from May 25–27, with additional artistes expected to be announced later this week.
