Prime Minister Drew Continues CARICOM Consultations with Visits to Dominica and Grenada Ahead of 50th Heads of Government Meeting

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 11th, 2026 (PMO) - Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and Chair of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, continues his series of high-level engagements with CARICOM member states as part of ongoing consultations ahead of the 50th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government, to be held in St. Kitts and Nevis later this month.

     

    As part of this regional outreach, Prime Minister Drew, today, February 11,  will visit Dominica and Grenada, where he is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, and the Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell.

     

    The engagements form part of the Chair’s commitment to direct, face-to-face dialogue with regional leaders, aimed at strengthening coordination, deepening consensus, and ensuring that priority issues affecting the Caribbean Community are effectively ventilated ahead of the upcoming Heads of Government Meeting.

     

    Discussions are expected to focus on matters of regional importance, including economic resilience, climate change, regional security, sustainable development, and advancing deeper integration within CARICOM at a critical juncture for the Community.

     

    The 50th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM will be hosted by St. Kitts and Nevis from February 24–27, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the regional integration movement.
