BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO Dominos customers are still celebrating the holiday season with Christmas gifts after having won the pizzeria’s Christmas Raffle Promotion on Wednesday (Jan. 6).

Rohanda Devent of Saddlers Village and Calvin Anthony Richardson of Dorset Village are the lucky winners of the promotion, bagging an iPod Touch and an Xbox 360 respectively.

Beginning on December 1, the promotion afforded all customers who spent in excess of $50 the opportunity to gain an entry into the sweepstakes.

The raffle, according to General Manager Jerome Lawrence, was to have run for a couple of weeks and concluded on December 23, but in order to give the largest number of customers the opportunity to capitalize, it was extended to January 2010.

The final draw took place on Wednesday at the Fort Street location in the presence of customers, members of the local media, Lawrence and Managers Donnette Simon, Larissa Chiverton and Ticoya Henry.

Carried live on ZIZ Radio, the winners were contacted via telephone, informed of their winnings and advised that the items could be collected from that location.

Speaking with SKNVibes, Richardson explained that he thought the phone call he had received was initially part of a prank.  When he realised it was not a joke, he immediately thought of his son, to whom he will present the Xbox 360.

“I am a regular customer of Dominos.  My son loves to eat here. He loves video games as well… so this would definitely, definitely make him happy,” he stated.

Devent told this media house that she was especially surprised at her win in light of the fact that she made only one entry into the raffle.

“I was excited when I heard that I won the iPod Touch.  I am a regular customer.  I placed my name in the box just once so I was really surprised when I realised that I had actually won!”

Both winners were congratulated on success in the contest by the Dominos staff and were encouraged to continue to shop at Dominos.

GM Lawrence said the raffle was his brainchild and he saw it as a means of creating excitement during the holiday season, generating revenue and giving back in a meaningful way to the many loyal customers of the restaurant.
