By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN an early morning statement, the People’s Action Movement (PAM) confirmed that its Candidate for Constituency #2, Mr. Nubian Greaux, had his premises searched and was subsequently arrested in connection with an alleged controlled substance.

Up to news time, police had not issued an official statement regarding the arrest. However, the party confirmed that the search was conducted earlier today. SKNVibes News understands that the operation took place in the early morning hours.

PAM reported, “We understand that the search was conducted on suspicion of controlled drugs, arms, and ammunition, and that Mr. Greaux has since been arrested in connection with an alleged controlled substance.”

The party emphasized that as a fundamental principle of law in St. Kitts and Nevis, every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. It noted that the popular businessman “is entitled to due process, the protection of his constitutional rights, and a fair and impartial hearing.”

To this end, the party said it expects that “all actions taken by law enforcement authorities will strictly comply with the law, including the proper execution of search powers, adherence to established procedures, and full respect for the rights of citizens. The integrity of the process is as important as the outcome.”

Full details have not yet been released, and information remains sketchy at this time. Up to press time, the police noted that he has not been charged.

PAM said it is in the process of ascertaining the full facts surrounding the matter and will be guided by those facts and its commitment to accountability, fairness, and the rule of law.

“We urge the public to avoid speculation or premature conclusions and to allow the legal process to proceed without prejudice,” the party added.

Meanwhile, PAM said it remains committed to upholding the principles of justice, transparency, and responsible leadership.
