BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — POLICE have confirmed that two Jamaican nationals wanted in connection with serious violent crimes in Jamaica were apprehended in St. Kitts and Nevis and deported to their home country to face charges.
In a media statement issued on Wednesday evening, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) said the arrests were carried out in collaboration with the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF).
The men were identified as Kemar Matthews and Clevone Harris. According to police, the pair were captured during two separate joint operations conducted on May 18 and May 20, 2026. Authorities said both men had been hiding out in the Federation.
Jamaican authorities are seeking the two men on charges of murder and wounding with intent.
Police further disclosed that by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, both men had been repatriated to Jamaica.
No additional details regarding the deportation process or the operations leading to their arrests were provided.
