Youth Outreach Dance Ministry 2009-2010 recital

By: Press Release

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts-The Youth Outreach Dance Ministry / School of Dance will be hosting its 7th annual dance recital under the theme, “WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE” which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 30th January 2010 starting at 7:30pm.  Venue for this event will be announced later.

Since its inception in 2001, the Ministry strives to offer a Christian atmosphere for young people throughout our federation.

Ms Andrea Caines, Director and Choreographer of this Ministry said that the dancers have been working tirelessly over the past months to showcase brand new pieces including ballet, which will base on the Word of God.  These pieces will help to encourage our young people to stay focus on the things of God.

The evening will be filled with song and dance.  The dancers will be performing in three categories at the recital:  Candlelighting, Prayer and Praise & Worship, which will reflect on the goodness of God where he has brought the Ministry today.

There will be special appearances by the Rising Sons.  This group is under the astute leadership of Mr. Shawn Revan.  “It’s really important to have young people voice in the center.  An artistic variety will certainly add to audience enjoyment,” said Ms Caines

This year’s recital would not have been possible without the kind contribution of St. Kitts & Nevis Credit Union, St. Kitts & Nevis National Bank, Island Bakeries Ltd, Nesry Enterprises, and Mr. Clifford Thomas.

To the Costume Co-ordinator, Ms Dian Pringle, with the assistance of Mrs. Olivia Dias-Taylor, who has been doing a wonderful job in preparing the costumes each year.

To parents, fans, well-wishers and supporters, we say thank you for your support over the years.

Additionally, the Ministry will be having its 4th Graduation ceremony on Saturday 6th February 2010, at the Zion Moravian Church starting at 7pm sharp.  A love offering will be collected.

More updates for these 2 events will be announced on a later date. Stay tuned!
