Television Caribbean (TVC) officially launched at CCTA 47

    Basseterre, St. Kitts- June 3, 2026 — Television Caribbean (TVC), one of the Federation’s television channels is now available on The Cable’s Ultra TV service, was officially launched during the 47th Annual Caribbean Cable and Telecommunications Association (CCTA) Conference held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on Wednesday, May 26, 2026.

     

    TVC, which can be viewed on Channel 40, initially received a soft launch on December 11, 2023. Operated by Palm Branch Media, the channel delivers a diverse mix of locally produced programming along with content from producers across the Caribbean region.

     

    Chief Executive Officer of Palm Branch Media, Andre Huie, officially introduced the channel during a presentation at the conference, which included a promotional video highlighting TVC’s growing slate of programming and production capabilities.

     

    Huie showcased the channel’s extensive coverage of live sporting events, including the Big 6 T20 Tournament, SKNABA Basketball, local football competitions, Leeward Islands cricket tournaments, the Cool and Smooth T20 Cricket Tournament and other regional sporting productions.

     

    In addition to its sports coverage, TVC produces and airs a wide range of original programming, including From the Sidelines, a sports discussion programme covering local, regional and international sports; Newsline 360, a news and current affairs programme; Insights, an interview series exploring the lives and stories of people in St. Kitts and Nevis; The JIFE Music Show, an inspirational music programme featuring Caribbean gospel artistes and interviews; Inside Football, a football magazine programme highlighting local football; and Main Event, an entertainment programme featuring local entertainers and music videos. These programmes air weeknights at 8:00 p.m., with rebroadcasts at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. the following day.

     

    Speaking on the vision behind the station’s slogan, “See The Difference,” Huie emphasized TVC’s commitment to delivering fresh and impactful Caribbean programming. “We intend to bring something different to the television landscape in St. Kitts and Nevis and the Caribbean. Our goal is to bring the finest in television programming in news, sports and entertainment and provide an alternative to inform, educate and entertain,” Huie stated.

     

    The presentation was well received by delegates attending the CCTA Conference.
