BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE young, hot and hype 2010 Youth View Awards (YVA) is scheduled to take place on February 6 at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston Jamaica.
The event will be hosted by international artiste chorographer, actress and singer Teyana Taylor, TV personality Lady Rennae and dancehall artiste Chino with a red carpet pre-show from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30p.m. while the award ceremony kicks off at 7:30p.m.
The pre-show performances will include those of Chino, Etana, Voicemail, Shaggy, Ding Dong, Tifa, Aidonia, Elephant Man, G-Whizz, Tessann Chin and special international guest artistes The New Boyz.
According to Jahkno.com, the show, which is in its third staging, is a people’s choice awards that offer a creative vehicle for Jamaican teens and young adults’ voices to be heard.
The categories include Favorite Celebrity in Entertainment, Fashion, Sports and the coveted award of Celebrity Role Model of the Year.
Organisers of the event said, “The YVA and our sponsors are an ideal team for the Young Hot and Hype demographics.”
The event will also feature an after party with music by Copper Sh-0ot, Renaissance DJ Cyrus and Kruddy.
