Ladies Night at Sabina Park: Free Entry for Women to 2nd ODI of the Sri Lanka Series

By: CWI, Press Release

Cricket in the Day. Party in the Night!

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Cricket West Indies (CWI) is rolling out the red carpet for women across Jamaica with “Ladies Night” at Sabina Park on Saturday, June 6, offering free admission to the second One-Day International between the West Indies and Sri Lanka.

The special promotion forms part of CWI's “WI OUTSIDE!” International Home Serries campaign, which is focused on bringing fans back to the game, creating memorable match-day experiences and celebrating the unique energy and culture that surrounds West Indies cricket.

Women can collect complimentary tickets for admission to the General Stands from the Sabina Park Box Office ahead of the match. (Offer does not apply to the Fan Zone or Party Stand.)

With the first ball scheduled for 2:30 p.m., patrons are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy a full day of action before the atmosphere shifts into party mode with DJ entertainment, drink specials and opportunities to win tickets to the upcoming T20 International Series.

The Maroon Men will also be aiming to continue their strong ODI form and build momentum in front of their home supporters, adding even greater significance to what promises to be an exciting contest under the lights.

CWI Chief Executive Officer Chris Dehring said the initiative reflects the organisation's commitment to making cricket more accessible while creating a dynamic entertainment experience for fans.

"Ladies Night is about celebrating and rewarding the women who continue to support West Indies cricket while creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for new and existing fans alike. As part of our “WI OUTSIDE!” campaign, we’re encouraging everyone to come together, show their West Indian pride and experience the excitement that only live cricket can provide.”

“It was truly inspiring to see the large number of school children in Sabina Park for ISSA Day on Wednesday, experiencing international cricket firsthand as part of our commitment to providing free entry for children to all matches this summer. We hope to see that same energy and enthusiasm from the women of Jamaica on Saturday night. We want Sabina Park buzzing, so we encourage women across the country to take advantage of this special offer, bring their friends and family, and help create an unforgettable atmosphere as the West Indies take on Sri Lanka”, said Dehring.

The promotion follows the outstanding response to ISSA Day during the opening ODI on June 3, when hundreds of school children attended the match free of cost through a partnership between CWI and the Jamaica Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA).

For the remainder of the International Home Series children aged 16 and under will receive free admission to every match across Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
