ATLANTA, GA (June 8, 2026) — Rum Island Festival, Atlanta’s newest Caribbean cultural experience, is proud to announce media personality, comedian, and entrepreneur Pretty Vee as the official host of its inaugural festival taking place Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Piedmont Park Promenade.

The announcement comes during Caribbean-American Heritage Month, a national celebration recognizing the contributions and influence of Caribbean communities across the United States, and follows a vibrant season of Caribbean cultural celebrations in Atlanta, including last month’s Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, further signaling that “di vibes nah stop” as Caribbean culture expands its presence in the city and beyond.

As Caribbean music, fashion, language, and lifestyle continue to break into mainstream global culture. From Dancehall and Soca to viral cultural moments amplified across digital platforms, Rum Island Festival arrives at a time when Caribbean influence is more visible than ever, shaping music charts, social media, and youth culture worldwide. Recent viral cultural momentum has only reinforced this shift, with Caribbean sound and energy increasingly driving global conversations and reaching new audiences across entertainment, sports, and digital media.

Known for her high-energy personality, comedic presence, and cultural influence across entertainment and social media, Pretty Vee will serve as the official host of Rum Island Festival, bringing her signature charisma to the live experience throughout the day.

"Listen, Atlanta is not ready! Rum Island Festival is about to bring some of the biggest Caribbean vibes the city has ever seen. The culture, the music, the rum, the food, the fashion, and everything in-between! I'm so excited to be the official host of this incredible celebration. As someone with Caribbean roots and so much love for Atlanta, this one is personal. July 11, we're outside!"
    — Pretty Vee

Pretty Vee joins a star-powered lineup led by Dancehall heavyweight Aidonia and rising Caribbean artist Ayetian, alongside a dynamic DJ roster including Ricky Platinum, Yung Rage, Unique Soundz, Propa English, Boogy Ranks, DJ Fabb, and more.

Built on the ethos “Culture. Community. Rum.”, Rum Island Festival is more than a music event—it is a premium cultural experience featuring eight hours of live performances across Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats, and Reggaeton, premium rum tastings, curated cocktail activations, immersive lounges, and a Caribbean food village showcasing Afro-Caribbean cuisine.

At its core, Rum Island Festival is grounded in purpose through its partnership with Her Village Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families experiencing poverty. A portion of proceeds will benefit the organization, alongside on-site donation drives and community-focused initiatives aimed at creating lasting impact beyond the festival experience.
With Atlanta as its launchpad, Rum Island Festival is designed for long-term expansion into major U.S. cities and Caribbean destinations, building a global platform rooted in culture, community, and celebration.
