Five Bills for second reading in the National Assembly on Thursday, June 18, 2026

    Basseterre, Saint Kitts, June 16, 2026 (SKNIS): The Order Paper has been issued for a sitting of the National Assembly to be held at the National Assembly Chambers, Government Headquarters, Basseterre, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Notice has been given.

     

    Five Bills will receive their second reading, as the government’s good governance legislative agenda continues.

     

    The Honourable Minister responsible for Public Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities, Domestic Transport, Information, Communication and Technology and Posts, Konris Maynard, will move the second reading of the Financial Services Regulatory Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2026; the Gaming (Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Anti-Proliferation (Financing of Weapons of Mass Destruction) (Amendment) Bill, 2026. 

     

    The Honourable Minister will also move the second reading of the Virtual Asset (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2026. All five Bills had their first reading on June 11, 2026. 
     
    The National Assembly will be carried live on ZIZ Radio (96 FM) and participating radio stations. It can also be viewed live on TV Channel 5 in St. Kitts and Channel 98 in Nevis. It will also be streamed live at www.zizonline.com.
