St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC) Announces Delegations for 2026 Commonwealth Games and C.A.C Games

    Basseterre, St Kitts, Wednesday 22nd July 2027 – Guided by its commitment to athlete development and support, as outlined in its 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, the St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee is pleased to announce its participation in two major multi-sport events. 

     

    From July 23rd to August 8th, 2026, athletes from the federation will compete in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, and the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) / Centro Caribe Sports (CCS) Games in the Dominican Republic.

     

    This participation marks a significant milestone for the SKNOC, as it makes its debut in the sports of Sailing and 3x3 Basketball at the CAC Games.

     

    Commonwealth Games Delegation (Glasglow, Scotland)
    The Commonwealth Games delegation will comprise seven (7) individuals and will be led by Chef de Mission Mr Lester Hanley. 

     

    Athletics (Track & Field)
    Mr. Shamarie Roberts - Men’s 100m
    Mr. Alexander Caines - Men’s 800m

     

    Swimming
    Mr. Jonathon Essien - Men’s 100m Butterfly, Men’s 50m Butterfly
    Ms. Skyla Connor     - Women’s 50m Breaststroke, Women’s 50m Freestyle

     

    Team Officials
    Mr. Eldon Thomas - Coach
    Mr. David Steven  - Physiotherapist

     

    CAC/CSS Games Delegation (Dominican Republic)
    The CAC Games delegation will comprise eighteen (18) individuals led by Senior Chef de Mission Mr. Leroy Greene, assisted by Ms. Brenda Allen as General Team Manager. Medical oversight will be provided by Team Doctor Dr. Dwain Archibald.

     

    The Federation will compete across four (4) sporting disciplines:

     

    Tennis:
    Mr Khalil Burroughs - Men’s Singles and Doubles
    Mr Omar Mongerie - Men’s Singles and Doubles
    Mr Watkins Chiverton - Coach

     

    Beach Volleyball:
    Mr. Zendai Richards            - Men’s Beach Volleyball
    Mr. Elkreen Morton              - Men’s Beach Volleyball
    Ms. Jontette Hensley Philip - Women’s Beach Volleyball
    Ms. Shajunee Gumbs         - Women’s Beach Volleyball
    Mr. Richard Swan                - Coach

     

    3x3 Basketball
    Mr Cecil Angel               - Men’s 3x3 Basketball
    Mr. Daivique Osbourne  - Men’s 3x3 Basketball
    Mr. Makari Gumbs          - Men’s 3x3 Basketball
    Mr. Tyquan Rogers         - Men’s 3x3 Basketball
    Mr. Wendell Pemberton  - Coach

     

    Sailing:
    Mr. Amadi Byron-Hendrickson - Men’s Dinghy
    Mr. Nicholas Dupre                  - Coach

     

    The Games competition schedule is as follows

     

    Commonwealth Games

     

    Swimming: Friday, July 24th to Wednesday, July 29thAthletics: Monday, July 27th to Wednesday, July 29th

     

    CAC/CCS Games 

     

    Tennis: Friday, July 24th to Thursday, July 30th

     

    Beach Volleyball: Wednesday, July 25th to Thursday, July 30th

     

    3x3 Basketball: Saturday, August 1st to Sunday, August 2nd

     

    Sailing: Saturday, August 1st to Thursday, August 6th
