Bronx, New York – July 27, 2026: The Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS) will host its 14th Annual Dr. Stewart O. Williams Awards Gala on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Maestros Catering Hall, Bronx, New York, under the theme "Rooted in Service, Grounded in Giving Back."
This year's Gala carries special significance as it will be the Society's first since the passing of its founder and longtime president, Dr. Stewart O. Williams, whose vision and leadership transformed the organization into a leading force for education, philanthropy, and community service within the Sandy Point and wider Kittitian and Nevisian community. The Society will honor five outstanding individuals for their exceptional contributions to community development: Avril Francis, Shermin Stevens, Kylla Herbert, Vernice Williams, and Fitzroy Wilkin.
