August 7th, 2026 -- The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will deliver two CPL SchoolYard community initiatives over the coming weeks, bringing players together with children across the region as they prepare to return to the classroom.
CPL SchoolYard – Back to School takes place simultaneously at two venues, the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia and Sabina Park in Jamaica, on 17 August. More than 50 children will take part in fun activities and an interactive session with CPL franchise players at the two venues, and will each receive a book bag packed with back-to-school essentials to support their return to school.
The initiative continues in September with CPL SchoolYard – Take a Player to School, taking place simultaneously in Guyana and Barbados on 10 September. CPL players will visit schools in both territories to engage directly with students, sharing their personal journeys and speaking to their own path from schoolchild to professional cricketer.

?In addition, CPL will be finding ways to improve Digital Literacy for young people across the Caribbean, both in stadium at matches and using the tournament’s social media channels.
