BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have removed 59 rounds of assorted ammunition during a joint security operation in New Road late last. month.
The ammunition was found on July 28, 2026, at an empty lot on Agnes Skerritt Street, New Road, during an operation involving the Anti-Narcotics Unit and Special Services Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), the Joint Security Operational Tactical Team (JSOTT) and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF).
According to police, the ammunition included 15 rounds of 9mm, 10 rounds of .223, 17 rounds of .38 Special, eight rounds of .40, six rounds of .45 and three rounds of 7.62 ammunition.
The Crime Scene Unit processed the area, while the ammunition was taken into police custody.
No one has been held in connection with the discovery, as investigations continue.
