THE FEDERATION OF ST. KITTS/NEVIS - JANUARY X, 2010 – The Blue Martini Piano Bar announces their grand opening party and the 2010 concert schedule at the Blue Martini, located in the St. Kitts Marriott & Royal Beach Casino at Frigate Bay, St. Kitts.
The Blue Martini Piano Bar is the premier new live entertainment establishment on St. Kitts. The bar will hold their grand opening party on the evening of January 15th with a very special double-bill concert event featuring brand new 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of famer Terry Sylvester, lead vocalist of The Hollies, and John Ford Coley from the Grammy-nominated duo England Dan and John Ford Coley.
These two performers bring a catalog of over two dozen worldwide top 40 Hits to the island of St. Kitts, and some of the most classic songs ever heard- and still played- on radio today.
The Blue Martini is host to a series of concerts on St. Kitts for 2010:
January 15th, the Blue Martini welcomes a double-bill of Terry Sylvester of the Hollies and the Swingin’ Blue Jeans and John Ford Coley of England Dan and John Ford Coley. Terry is a very dynamic performer who has just been inducted with the Hollies into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
His well known international hits include, “He Ain’t Heavy – He’s My Brother”, “The Air That I Breathe”, “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress”, “Bus Stop”, and “The Hippie Hippie Shake”. John Ford Coley has a string of hit songs including, “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight”, “Nights Are Forever Without You”, “Love is the Answer”, and “We’ll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again”.
February 6th, the Blue Martini welcomes the lead vocalist of the classic rock band Survivor, Jimi Jamison. Massive worldwide hits from Survivor include “Eye of the Tiger”, “Burning Heart”, “The Search is Over”, “The Moment of Truth”, “High on You”, “I Can’t Hold Back”.
February 14th, the Blue Martini welcomes Jim Curry’s tribute to John Denver with a romantic Valentines night repertoire of the late singer-songwriter’s biggest and most beloved songs.
February 27th, the Blue Martini welcomes “Mr. Key Largo” himself, Bertie Higgins. His varied repertoire includes such big international hits as “Key Largo”, “Kokomo”, “Just Another Day in Paradise”, “Stir It Up”, and “Casablanca”.
March 27th, the Blue Martini welcomes a double bill of two classic rock stalwarts, the Little River Band’s lead vocalist Wayne Nelson and Ambrosia. Little River band is known for hit songs, “Lonesome Loser”, “Lady”, “Take it Easy on Me”, “The Night Owls”, “Reminiscing”, “The Other Guy”, and “Help is on the Way”. Ambrosia, with so many hits like, “Biggest Part of Me”, “How Much I Feel”, “You’re the Only Woman”, and “Holdin’ On To Yesterday”, is another timeless band that will excite the audience.
April 17th, the Blue Martini welcomes Oscar favorite Stephen Bishop and Naked Eyes. Stephen Bishop’s hits include “On and on”, “It Might Be You” (Theme from Tootsie), “Separate Lives” (Theme from White Knights), and “Save it for a Rainy Day”. Naked Eyes’ hits include “Always Something There To Remind Me”, “Promises, Promises”, and “When The Lights Go Out”.
