October 10th, 2026 -- In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the TDC Home and Building Depots are reaffirming their commitment to community health and wellness by offering free breast screenings for its customers and the wider community.
The annual initiative is designed to encourage members of the community both women and men to prioritize their breast health, promote early detection, and increase awareness of the importance of regular breast screening. Individuals can visit the TDC Home and Building Depot in St. Kitts or Nevis for the free screening sessions on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to receive a free breast screening, conducted by qualified healthcare professionals.
As an added incentive to encourage participation, all persons screened will have an opportunity to win a free mammogram, helping to further support early detection and access to potentially life-saving diagnostic care.
“We believe that supporting our communities means going beyond business and investing in the health and well-being of the people we serve. Breast cancer can affect families and individuals across our communities, and through this initiative, we want to encourage more people to take an active role in their breast health. Early detection can make a meaningful difference, and we are proud to play our part in raising awareness and encouraging screening,” said Ms. Jhanelle Brown, Head of the TDC Client Relations and Marketing Department.
She noted, “To give hope to the survivors and inspiration to others, we have decorated our stores with pink paraphernalia and lit the walls of our St. Kitts store in Pink to show our solidarity for who those who have been and are impacted by this disease. We encourage all members of the community to take advantage of this opportunity to make breast health a priority.”
The breast screening sessions form part of TDC Home and Building Depots ongoing commitment to contributing to healthier, stronger and more resilient communities.
